What is New Living New Healing?
Hey! JP here! Using my own journey as an example, I strive to inspire and encourage those who cross paths with my content and story. I'm far from perfect and will always be learning more, but being on my own healing journey leads to deep empathy and understanding of what other women are experiencing.
Through the years, I've struggled with the following symptoms:
-healthy weight maintenance
-hair thinning
-brittle hair
-too much hair on face
-debilitating menstrual cramps
-irregular menstrual cycles
-moodiness
-fatigue
-inflammation
-anxiety
-mild depression
-vasovagal syncope
-constipation
-headaches
-bloating
-dry lips and skin
-cavities
Recently, I was diagnosed with PMOS. I'm in the middle of my health journey, so I'm not totally healed, but with significant changes to the way I live, I have a lived experience with healing and reducing some of the aforementioned symptoms. Along with the testimony of my mother's management of symptoms to chronic disease through lifestyle changes, I truly believe a new way of living can create a new way of healing.
I believe healing is holistic and that every part of the body impacts the other, even though it would be simpler if they weren't so connected. Then again, our bodies wouldn't function if it didn't all work together. Our bodies and they way they work are beautiful masterpieces, but years of improper diet, lack of movement, and an increase in chemicals and environmental toxins has made it so that our bodies aren't operating optimally. That being said, if given even half the chance, our bodies can and will heal.
It's easy to feel alone on a healing journey, which is one of the reasons why I want to share my story. I want you to know that you are not alone. Not only can it be isolating to make significant health changes, it can feel quite counter cultural, expensive, confusing, and just plain hopeless. Also, I'm like many of you who feel like the holistic health sphere is unaccessable for the average becasuse it can be quite expensive. However, I believe it can still be attainable for those of us with a tight budget.
If you're here here reading this, you've gotten to the point of knowing you want to do something different to make a change in your life because you can tell something is off. Even if people say, "it's all in your head", you know they're wrong. After all, you are the expert of your own body. So, you're taking matters into your own hands and are pursuing a new way of living so that you embrace a new way of healing. It might be hard, but you're not alone.
